Relationships among Agropyron, Dasypyrum and Lophopyrum (Triticeae: Poaceae) viewed from isoenzyme variation of esterase, peroxidase and acid phosphatase

چکیده
Isoenzyme variation of esterase, peroxidase and acid phosphatase was examined in individual plants from natural populations of A. cristatum, D. villosum and L. elongatum. Four indices of phenotypic similarity (SI, S, D, Ih) were calculated in an attempt to assess relationships among the taxa studied. All indices have their lowest estimates in the comparison between L. elongatum and D. villosum. This is an indication that both species are most distantly related as judged by the enzymes surveyed. Although slightly higher, the values of SI, S and Ih show that D. villosum and A. cristatum are also positioned remotely. Dasypyrum. villosum possessed the highest number of diagnostic isoforms, which is an additional indicator of its distinctness within the studied group. The species A. cristatum and L. elongatum demonstrate a higher level of affinity as estimated by all indices used. The proposed relationships among Agropyron, Dasypyrum and Lophopyrum are compared with conclusions derived from morphological and molecular data available.

Genetic diversity and relationships among accessions of five crested wheatgrass species (Poaceae: Agropyron) based on gliadin analysis.
Agropyron Gaertn. is the most important genus in Triticeae (Poaceae), which includes many forage grasses with high economic value. The genetic diversity and relationships of 36 accessions from five crested wheatgrass species were analyzed by gliadin markers. A total of 54 product bands were detected after acid polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (A-PAGE), of which 100% were polymorphic. The gene...

Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) was employed to examine the variation of ten isoenzyme markers in an attempt to assess the systematic and genetic relationships between Elymus repens, E. hispidus and their hybrid E. ×mucronatus. It was found that the hybrid shared most isoenzyme profiles and isoforms of its parents and high genetic affinity among the studied taxa was revealed. The isoe...

The Columbia root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne chitwoodi race 2, is associated with several plant species, including members of the tribe Triticeae. We evaluated 15 diploid species for M. chitwoodi gall and reproductive indices from the following genera: Agropyron, Pseudoroegneria, Hordeum, Psathyrostachys, and Thinopyrum. Species from the genus Thinopyrum (Thinopyrum bessarabicum; J genome) and ...

The level and pattern of nucleotide variation in duplicate gene provide important information on the evolutionary history of polyploids and divergent process between homoeologous loci within lineages. Kengyilia is a group of allohexaploid species with the StYP genomic constitutions in the wheat tribe. To investigate the evolutionary dynamics of the Pgk1 gene in Kengyilia and its diploid relativ...
